Event Booking Conditions

We have attempted to make our booking conditions as straight forward as Possible, in order to clarify the position if something exceptional occurs

1. If You Cancel
For all meetings and events, there needs to be an agreed cancellation policy. This will be charged as shown below:
Cancellation 6 to 12 weeks before the date of the meeting or event -25%
Cancellation 4 to 6 weeks before the date of the meeting or event -50%
Cancellation 2 to 4 weeks before the date of the meeting or event -75%
Cancellation less than 2 weeks before the date of the meeting or event -100%
In every case, if we are to re-let the space (and we will do all we can to achieve that) the resulting turnover will be deducted from the cancellation charge.

2. The Number of Guests Attending
If you give us at least 2 weeks notice, you can reduce your numbers by 15% without any charge. If the cancellation is more than 15%, item 1 applies pro-rata.

3. Payment Terms
i. A non-returnable deposit of £150.00 is due on confirmation. Full payment of the balance is due 14 days prior to the event.
ii If you have a credit agreement with the Jersey Arms, then payment is due 14 days after our invoice date. If it is not paid by that time, the company reserves the right to charge interest at the rate of 2% for each 28-day period, or part thereof that the remains unpaid. Interest will be charged as stated until the date that payment is received.
iii If you do have a query on part of the bill, it is agreed that you will pay the balance on the due date. The part you have queried (suitably adjusted were necessary) will be due as soon as the problem has been settled.

4. Your Use of the Hotel
i If you want to bring electrical or other equipment into the hotel e.g. lighting, amplification etc. You will need our agreement.
ii Care needs to be taken on the use of anything can that be considered as dangerous, if you are unsure about the safety of anything you want to bring into the hotel, please discuss it with us.
iii Please ask us if you wish to fix things to the wall, floors or ceilings.

5. Cancellation by the Jersey Arms
We reserve the right to cancel the booking if:
i If any part of the hotel is closed or otherwise unavailable because of events outside our control.
ii You or we become insolvent, or in the case of an individual, become subject of a bankruptcy petition.
iii The booking may damage the reputation of the hotel.
iv In these circumstances, you will get any advance payments back, but the hotel would not have any other liability.

6. General
i It is agreed that you are not acting on behalf of someone else.
ii You and not the hotel will settle if you ask us to get a supplier to provide you with anything on the bill.
iii No food or beverages of any kind may be brought into the hotel for consumption on the premises
